How to edit Content of new page

Hello

I am attempting to add a new page of mostly text to my store. I copied the wishlist.php (from the root folder) page and renamed it. Also did the same for the one in the Includes//languages/english file. Now- how do I actually edit the content of this page? Do I have to also create a CONTENT_newpage template file? All I want to do is take out all the wishlist info and add my own text.
