kenle Posted February 17, 2006 Posted February 17, 2006 Hi all, I am running an OsCommerce store and I have this problem which I am sure alot of you run into. That is back-order management. So someone order a few items from your site. You only have a few and some are out of stock. You ship partially to the customer because they can't wait to get the full orders. And then you are busy with new orders keep coming, you forgot and dont' remember to go back to those back-orders when the items are back in stock again. If your store has thousand of items, managing these back-order is a nightmare. I am trying to look for a solution that everytime u update your stock level, those back-order you have should maybe somehow change the status from back-order to pending as a new order if the quantity of that items is great than 0. And also need a way to have a report of the quantity of an item back-ordered and how items there are. Anyone run into this issue and already have some kind of solutions to this? Any suggestions could be great.
