Protx Direct v2.22

Recommended Posts

I thought I'd post Protx's email here for those that may not have received it:

Hello,

By now you should have received details of our rebrand from Protx to Sage Pay, and if you would like to refer back to that email at any point you can do so using the following link: newsletter

Included in this email and attached, as promised, is the technical, contact and financial information that you'll need to be aware of over the coming weeks. We've given details of elements that are being changed, as well as those that remain the same, but of course if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Support

My account/VSP Admin

Your unique Vendor account information won't be changing; however the look and feel of VSP Admin has changed. It is now called My Sage Pay, in preparation for some improvements that we'll be making over the coming months. We'll be able to reveal more about these in the very near future.

In the meantime, you will be able to use your existing VSP Admin account and login information to access your My Sage Pay account. Any existing user accounts that you may have created will remain unchanged. We've made the login area easy to find on the main www.sagepay.com website, which you'll be able to access from 21st April 2009. The link is in the grey menu bar at the top of every page.

24-hour technical support

Sage Pay is pleased to offer UK-based 24/7 email and telephone support. From the 21st of April onwards our expert customer services team will be available to help at anytime.

Contact details

Our main number 0845 111 44 55 remains the same, but the support email address has changed to:

[email protected]

If you do happen to send an email to an '@protx.com' address, don't worry, it will be redirected to the appropriate department / individual.

As our email addresses will be changing please ensure that you have updated your spam filters to allow emails from '@sagepay.com' addresses.

Website

As you might expect from a rebrand, our website is also changing. The new domain is www.sagepay.com, and we have centralised all your Sage Pay needs in this single location.

From the Sage Pay site you are able to:

* Access information regarding Sage Pay

* Login to My Sage Pay account (previously VSP Admin)

* Browse the Sage Pay technical support website

* View the system monitor

* Download integration guides and documentation

* Download user guides

* Access the Sage Pay support forum, and much more

The support pages can now be accessed from every page via the left hand navigation menu.

System Monitor

You may already be familiar with our system monitor page, if not then you may be interested to know that any system updates, including scheduled maintenance, upgrades and any other communications regarding our system are posted on this page. You can access the system monitor from the Sage Pay website via the grey menu bar at the top of every page.

Branding

We appreciate that many of you will be using the old Protx logos on your websites to boost consumer confidence. So we'd like to reassure you that we will be carrying out a number of Sage Pay awareness campaigns over the coming months to really establish the Sage Pay brand so that, like Protx, it is synonymous with simple, reliable and secure payment services.

We recommend that you replace any Protx branding with the Sage Pay version, should you have any queries regarding the new branding please do not hesitate to contact us.

The new logos are attached, but will also be available to download at www.sagepay.com. If you have any specific logo requirements, please let us know, as we can provide multiple file types.

Payment Pages

We have also rebranded the Protx hosted payment pages. If you are using these pages, from the 21st of April they will reflect the Sage Pay brand. You don't need to do anything, however, if you would like a sneak peek at what they will look like you can find them attached. You will notice that they do carry the Protx logo and will continue to do so for the next six months.

Technical info

As a part of the rebrand we will no longer be using www.protx.com, this will be replaced with www.sagepay.com. This means that the URLs used to process transactions will also change. We have attached a document indicating the current URLs, and what these will be changing to.

Important: We recommend that you update your URLs as soon as possible after 21st April; however service will not be disrupted if you continue to use the Protx URLs.

Please note: We have implemented measures to ensure that any information sent to the Protx URLs is forwarded securely to the new Sage Pay URLs for the next 6 months.

Although the launch of Sage Pay is scheduled for the 21st of April, we will be releasing some of our systems before the official launch to ensure a smooth transition. Please find important dates below:

* Wednesday 15th April

After 5:30 pm the Protx TEST server will carry Sage Pay branding, which includes the test server payment pages.

* Saturday 18th April

From this date all customer service emails will come from '@sagepay.com' addresses. Please make sure your spam filter is set up to accommodate.

* Tuesday 21st April

From 7 am the Protx LIVE server will become Sage Pay. This includes the Live server payment pages, My Sage Pay (formerly VSP Admin), the www.sagepay.com website and the CMS area.

Again, our support lines are open should you need assistance with any of the above.

Direct Debit

Don't worry, we're not increasing our prices - we remain dedicated to providing you with a secure service that is excellent value for money. The only change here is that your direct debit reference will change from Protx to Sage Pay. For legal reasons, we are obliged to provide you with a formal letter, so please find that attached.

Security

Security is still our number one priority and we understand that your customers' security is a huge priority for you too. As such we've created an email template explaining the rebrand for you to pass on to your customers, should you want to. This template is also attached.

Check List

* Check that your spam filters will not automatically reject emails from @sagepay.com addresses.

* From 21st April 2009, update the payment page URLs on your website to those indicated in the attached document.

* Update any Protx branding on your website to reflect the Sage Pay brand (access logos).

We recognise that our rebrand requires some time and effort on your part, but please be assured that our continued growth as Sage Pay will enable us to keep improving the quality and value of service that you receive.

As always, if you need help or have any queries, please don't hesitate to get in touch by emailing: [email protected] or calling 0845 111 4455, and don't forget from 21st April our UK-based customer service team is available 24/7.

Thank you once again for your continued support.

Kind regards

I've just upgraded from 5.0b to 5.1 and I've got a problem. Everything works except that after I complete checkout, I get an SQL error in checkout_process.php:

1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1

UPDATE protx_direct SET order_id = 1675 WHERE id = [TEP STOP]

The order is there otherwise. The only place I can find this update is in the protx_direct.php here in after_process():

function after_process() {

global $insert_id;

tep_db_query("UPDATE " . TABLE_PROTX_DIRECT . " SET order_id = " . (int)$insert_id . " WHERE id = " . $this->protx_id);

}

That function was empty in the 5.0b. I've checked all my files and I can't see a problem. any ideas? :)

edit: and if I comment out the function contents, it appears to work ok.......

that function was included as some (busy) sites were finding the transactions weren't matching up with the orders in admin due to incorrect order_id

Your problem suggests that the $this->protx_id is missing which is strange because if that was missing then the whole transaction would normally fail with a different error message.

I'll have a look into it but it works as expected on standard installs

Well, it is a standard install so far as the checkout process goes. The database is being populated fine otherwise - I've made several test orders and everything works. Very strange ...

Its a quiet site, don't expect to have the transaction issue.

I can not get anyone at Sagepay to comment beyound "it has the wrong SuccessURL" I can only assume that this is a problem in the de-encryption at Sagepay end.

Cany you give me some guidence on this?

Hi Stewart!

I'm great thanks! How are you?

Things are very busy here with the recent rebrand and we are at Internet World also this week; I was there yesterday doing my bit to help where possible! If anyone is in town and in the Earls Court area, please come and visit us, it would be great to see you.

DennieN - this is indeed a Form problem, rather than Direct - feel free to email me and I'll try and fix it for you. From a quick look though, you might have an upper case character in your encryption password where it should be lower case. I say this because of the following:

http:/www.smileyprinT.co.uk/checkoutprocess.php?osCSid=8baf9c473c56d924ffa911afa9652d

Notice the capitalised 'T' in prinT. I'd recommend you double check your encryption password to ensure that you have all the characters in the correct case. This is quite a common error but its hard to spot.

Best wishes,

Joe

Ok, so you are getting a popup - is this the "thickbox" -i.e. white box and rest of screen greyed out?

IF so and it's blank then please set debug to true in the module admin setting - do a test transactions and post the debug here minus any sensitive information

Ok - You've missed out a line.

<link rel="stylesheet" href="<?php echo DIR_WS_INCLUDES;?>thickbox.css" type="text/css" media="screen" />

That needs adding in the <head> </head> section of checkout_confirmation.php
