Occasional Cart Problem

From time to time I have had complaints from customers saying they were unable to add

items to the cart. I suspect that this problem may be happening more often than I ever thought. I figure most people will move on rather than bother letting me know.

 

I don't think it is the cart's fault itself, as most people seem to go through just fine. I have sessions and cookies enabled.

 

I got a call today from someone who is on DSL who could not get the cart to work. She tried all of the suggestions, i.e. enabling cookies and checking the computer time, etc., When she called I checked to make sure that all of her settings seemed OK, had her clear out the cache, just about everything I can think of, but nothing helped. She was using IE.

 

Has anyone else encountered a similar situation and found a cause and solution?

 

I posted on this quite some time ago after doing a lot of searching and noone seemed to respond.

 

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated

perhaps it happens if someone blocks cookies. And that would point to your store's configuration settings.
