simple catalog in flash + os commerce cart?

hi, i know what you're thinking.... o god, not another flash question....

 

well, i did a search around here and am wondering if i might be able to do something like this:

 

i'd like to have a nice flash front end to a small store. there'll be 4 categories and no more than 15 products in each category. the ideal would be if the homepage, product category page and product specific pages were all inside the flash doc, then once the user clicks on "buy now" they're taken back into the world of the osCommerce pages.

 

so, that would be....

- go ahead and create the os commerce site and put all the products in with the admin tool as you would normally

- then, look at the html from the product pages and pull the product links and incorporate them into a flash-based catalog

 

i did a quick test:

where i pulled the links out from the html and put basic text links. should i not be able to use this approach and instead use images inside a flash document?
