My quick impression:

The design is OK, the color combination is terrible though. This green makes a very dull impression, not glamorous at all. As a widescreen user I like also like to see something interesting in the background.

The images are very poor, also not glamorous at all. With a little effort this could be much better.

There was a warning on my browser on the login page (non-secure items).

Well I'm wondering if you have your monitor colours set a lot darker than I do. My client loves the colours we were trying for fun and a little funky. The product images are what I was given by my client to work with. I think I've fixed the browser error at least it isn't triggering for me in Firefox any more - not totally clear why it was in the first place. In Firefox my left column infoboxes are a mess. Does anyone know how to make Firefox look like Internet Explorer?

The layout and design is nice. I also feel that if you went with a different color scheme, you can convey a more 'high end fashion' feel. With the current color scheme, it has more of a gossip media feel, if that makes sense.

I like the concept of your website and the initial lay out seems well done. I feel you should try to make a more glamorous feel to the customer as Teun mentioned.

Good idea for a store though!

Actually the gossip media feel is perfect! I think it appeals to those who want to buy a product because a famous celeb has been seen in it. I agree that the product images could be better but that's all I have to work with for now. I fixed the Firefox glitch!

While I'm not fond of the color choices for the site layout - just personal preference, I like what you've done. You've totally changed the OsC design layout and made it your own. Great job there! I also like your "about us" - personable and witty.

The only negative I see offhand is on the main page - why do you not have any mention of what payment options you accept: MC/Visa, PayPal, etc. Also, there's no mention of a SSL cert. Putting small icons in your footer or such won't distract from the look of the page.

Thanks Moonlight you were totally right about the missing ssl and payment images so I've added them to the footer.

The store just went LIVE! Other comments are still welcome:-)

The site is ok looking. The layout is good, but I'll go with everyone else and say that the colors aren't for me. (I'm a 26 year-old female fashion boutique owner, so I think I'm supposed to be in the site's target market).

The one thing that I found very frustrating is that there is no link between the pictures of celebrities wearing the clothes and the products themselves. It seems like the whole purpose of the site is to see something on a celeb and be able to buy it for yourself. However, when I look at the product info pages, there is no mention of celebs who have worn the item. A pic of the item on a celeb would be great. Likewise, when I look at the pictures of the celebs (which should all show up on that page by the way, it was awkward to click through them I think), there is no link to a product on your site. For instance, I saw Jessica Simpson wearing TAG Jeans, but I had no idea if you sold those jeans or not. Since you DO sell TAG Jeans, you could benefit from showing a link to that product when looking at the pic.

Hope that helps,

Gretchen
