After install getting error?

After I did my install I keep getting this error......what did I do or not do correctly.

1046 - No Database Selected

 

select configuration_key as cfgKey, configuration_value as cfgValue from configuration

The configure.php files were not written to by the install, so there is no database name listed in one or both of those files.

I just found that out. I keep checking files near the last step instead of database. To many late nights and not enough sleep.. simple things get me all the time.
