Can I do this with OSCommerce?

Hi there;

I'm trying to set up an online store. However I have a couple problems that I hope you might be able to help me with.

1 - Attributes

I have a product (Lipstick), and it has 10 different colour options. Each colour option leads to a different item #.

i.e.

Lipstick A - Pink - 123-456

Lipstick A - Red - 124-678

But then I also have a different kind of lipstick (Lipstick B) that has the same colours, but again, different item #'s.

So...

Lipstick B - Pink - 789-456

Libstick B - Red - 987-654

Right now the only thing I can think of is naming attributes as "item # - description" but this means that I have as many attributes as I have options for each product.

This is FAR from ideal and makes it almost impossible.

Does anyone have any thoughts for a solution?

2 - Specials

I have "Product A" and it's $14.99. However, if you order it along with "Product B" it's only 4.99.

Is there a contribution that would handle this?

Thank you,

Cam

There's a contribution for the specials one, I know I passed it when looking for something else. (But I don't nearly have the time to hunt for it again :) )

As for your first question, it sounds like something that can be done for sure, but I'm not nearly the expert to tell you how. Just knowing what I know about databases, it should be possible with some manipulation.

Found the answer to your second question:

That's your contribution. The support thread has many examples in it similar to the one you describe.
