Product Notification

Hello.

I?m allmost finished with my shop an I tried the "notify me about this product".

In "my account" it appears as it should, but how does it work?

I cant find anything in admin that tells me that the costumer wants notification on product changes.

Is there supposed to be sendt an e-mail or something to the costumer if the product information changes?

Am I missing something and just looking stupid here? :blush:

The product notification is an automated email that osCommerce sends to users when a product they've signed up for changes or is edited.

 

Have a go!

 

P.S There is also a global one where they are emailed for any change to a product on the website.

That?s what I thought. However I cannot seam to make it work.

In admin I changed prize, how many in stock and the info about the product.

I then updated and checked my e-mail. Nothing happend.

Any clues? :)

Newletter Manager! Create a new "product notification" newsletter and then when you lock it and send, it will ask you for which products you would like to send the new newsletter.

 

Just go mess with it and you'll figure it out. :thumbsup:

 

Took me forever to figure out that product notifications were in the Newsletter Manger. :blink:
