?cPath= [what catches the request?]

Hi

I'm working on some mods for oscommerce and need to use &cPath= as opposed to ?cPath=.

I can't see where the request for cPath is captured and &cPath= is not working, I'm sure it's staring me in the face but help gratefully received.

Cheers

Rob

I don't understand how on earth ?cPath is any different than &cPath. I'm not sure I understand what the problem is, but if all you're asking is how to access GET variables (everything after the ? in a URL), then please see the following:

Yes, thanks for answering my stupid question.

I'm converting my osc to run from an index.php so urls look like ..

http://localhost/index.php?option=msb_shop...ufacturers_id=6

I'm converting all defines to arrays and a host of other things ..

I forgot $_GET['cPath']

you can modify and use a contribution for this purpose. It's far easier. Just use v1.5 (1/1105) as the newest entries are totally irrelevant.

Thanks for your answers guys

While I've got your attention

Most urls are working well, I've removed the need in individual files for application.top/bottom, individual file JS and "above head" php and the core files are just

<!-- body_text //-->

<!-- body_text_eof //-->

So I can theme it easily

My current problem is that the manufacturers side box dropdown refuses to redirect to anything other than

http://localhost/index.php?manufacturers_id=

I have modified tep_href_link so I get urls like ...

http://localhost/index.php?option=msb_shop...o&products_id=7

Any idea where I'm stumbling?

The manufacturer's box is cached - that is probably what's causing this. Make sure you have caching turned off while you're developing.

Thanks kgt

I'll have to revisit this tomorrow as I'm off to bed, but thanks a lot for your responces, much appreciated.

Rob

I am now having problems with a few boxes.

WORKING

General site plus boxes:-

Categories

Quick Find/Search

Information

Shopping Cart

Specials

Problem Boxes

Manufacturers >

Redirects to http://localhost/index.php?manufacturers_id= .. Should be ..

http://localhost/index.php?option=msb_shop&manufacturers_id=

Reviews >

Reviews works fine.

product_reviews_info is the problem :-

The url looks fine in the bottom bar e.g.

http://localhost/index.php?option=msb_shop...19&reviews_id=1

however the page hangs with "The page isn't redirecting properly"

and a ridiculous url showing in the top bar like ..

Languages >

URL should be ..

http://localhost/index.php?option=msb_shop...dex&language=en

but it produces ..

http://localhost/index.php?option=msb_shop...dex&language=en

Currencies >

Produces .. http://localhost/index.php?currency=EUR

Should be ..

http://localhost/index.php?option=msb_shop&currency=EUR

Any thoughts gratefully recieved

Regards

Rob
