Hi, im currently setting up my oscommerce website based in the uk and wanted to know how to accept credit card payments? I have a rough idea but can anyone recommend anything for me and what merchant account is best? Also how do make my website a secure SSL connection?

One merchant account I would recommend is: http://www.e-onlinedata.com/

 

Regarding the secure connection, you'll need to check with your host and purchase a SSL certificate from them.

I've used Barclaycard Merchant Services and also Streamline (from RBS), both in conjunction with SECPay with no problems. Of the two, Streamline was, in my opinion, the better of the two, particularly when it came to enabling Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode to the account.

 

There's also the PayPal option...quick and easy :)
