Template help..?

I purchased a template from 7dana and of course no support for anything :rolleyes: .. Well anyway I was wondering if you all could help me with something, its not that big a question just that I would like to tab the categories accordingly, but I am not sure in what fashion to perform it in.

I have attached a picture to what I would like for my menu's to look and function like. Category>>Subcategory>>Subcategory>>Products

Currently my menu looks like this and it looks terrible, dont you agree?

Below I have attached a snippet which determines the structure of the menu..

<?php
/*
 $Id: categories.php,v 1.25 2003/07/09 01:13:58 hpdl Exp $

 osCommerce, Open Source E-Commerce Solutions
 http://www.oscommerce.com

*/

 function tep_show_category($counter) {
global $tree, $categories_string, $cPath_array;

for ($i=0; $i<$tree[$counter]['level']; $i++) {
  $categories_string .= "";

}
// Begin of Code snippet:

if (tep_has_category_subcategories($counter)) {
	if ( ($id) && (in_array($counter, $id)) ) {
	  $categories_string .= '<div id="categories">';
	} else {
	  $categories_string .= '<div id="categories">';
	}
} else {
  $categories_string .= '<div id="categories_sub">';
}

// End of code snippet

Thank you

Here is the new code:

<?php
/*

 function tep_show_category($counter) {
global $tree, $categories_string, $cPath_array;

for ($i=0; $i<$tree[$counter]['level']; $i++) {
  $categories_string .= "";

}
// Begin of Code snippet:

if ($tree[$counter]['parent']) {
	if ($tree[$counter]['parent'] ) {
	  $categories_string .= '<div id="categories_sub">';
	} else {
	  $categories_string .= '<div id="categories">';
	}
} else {
  $categories_string .= '<div id="categories">';
}

// End of code snippet

Have you put the air intakes, Brakes etc, inside the CL folder?

it looks like you have created the CL folder as a sub of Acura but you did not put them items into the CL folder, looks like you put them in the Acura folder

The air intakes, brakes, etc.. are under the CL folder which is under the Acura folder.. but for some reason I would like to get it so that the air intakes, brakes, etc.. get tabbed slightly so that it is like a nicely formed outline which is a little clearer to browse through.

So it goes as such..

Acura >> CL >> Air intakes, brakes, etc..

Thanks for responding.

gtr_rider, sorry for trouble with support, but I can't find your emails in inbox.

We were victims of a massive DDos attack on our mail server over the past 14 days, so we turn the email server off temporarily/periodically.

Regarding your problem, I don't know how to indent sublevel + subsublevels. Currently in oscommerce only one sublevel can be indented(without some custom modifications).

You can email me at support (at) 7dana.com.

I was able to indent it, however I would like to show you want it looks like. It gets really jumbled when i try to do it and its not as accurate as I would have liked.. You know though, I went back to the OE categories.php and it indents the sublevel+subsublevels just fine but without the nice looking menu features.

No response.. could you please?

In oscommerce there is a category and a sub category issue.

Depending on the category depth the tree/categories and subcategories are displayed.

You have set some as subcategories under the main category so they are with that heading.

Thru admin just edit the category and its parent category and you will find it fixed.
