Why nobody feedback to my question? Please... advise... TQ.

Hi, I just installed osCommerce and had the same problem. It was easily fixed for me.

Go to the administration section of osCommerce and then click on Configuration in the big blue box -

Image 1

Then click on Sessions in the lefthand menu -

Image2

Edit the Session Directory to match the setting in your php.ini file.

Eg - my php.ini has the session save path set as session.save_path = "c:\windows\temp", therefore my Session Directory is set as c:\windows\temp Image3 Again

I hope this helps.

Thanks Mdb:

"Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: open(/tmp\sess_40b54ad984439cf0bfcb556c8d8d8e7a.."

(1) the above folder should edit as "\tmp\..." instead of "/tmp\sess..."

(2) After I amended "/tmp" as "\tmp" then I found that I can find out how to resolve this problem at all, anyhow, thank you for your advise.

(3) I am facing an new problem,

https://hostdomain.com/../catalog/login.php..

and https://hostdomain.com/../catalog/create_account.php.. don't work at all... anybody help me to settle this problem again?

please...

Hi, Sorry, I can't help you with that one. Is that a oscommerce problem?

The same error appears on your main website page https://www.hostdomain.com/ This makes me think that its not an oscommerce problem. Not sure what your setup is. Did this problem occur after you did what I said to do?

The error message mentions an asp file - are these compatibility problems with your server? What server do you use?

I am not experienced enough to help you, but if you repost with details of all the different scripts, including full version numbers and what server you are running, then perhaps someone else may help you out.

Try these links, they may be somewhat related to your problem:
