You have probably copied it to the wrong level in FTP, and that's why you can't see it. Sometimes when you establish an FTP connection to your site the page you come to is not the page where your web files need to go - look for a shortcut to a folder called something like public_html, or httpdocs, or html etc.

You won't see a http folder or a http_docs folder. So you put catalog in your top directory?

Do you have a domain pointing to your account? You'll also always have a default address in the form of s12345678.onlinehome.us

So you'd access catalog with http://yourdomain.com/catalog or s12345678.onlinehome.us/catalog

You can also set the domain to point directly to the catalog folder so it in effect becomes the root directory for that domain. If you do that your configure.php paths become '/'

like so:

define('HTTP_COOKIE_PATH', '/');

define('HTTPS_COOKIE_PATH', '/');

define('DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG', '/');

define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/');
