xine Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Hello, I'm wondering how I can setup my osCommerce store so that only registered customers can see the store and products? I want users to have to login before accessing the store. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Xine.
♥Vger Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 There are various contributions for this, but also other solutions. One contribution in particular hides prices from people unless they are logged in. Another solution would be to get people to fill out an html form on an html homepage, which they would use to register to be able to access your site. You'd then Password Protect the site (it would have to be in a folder and not in the root of your web), and only supply user names and passwords to people who have completed the initial registration. They'd still have to sign up as a customer once they can access the site. But check in Contributions, and you'll find lots of other options. Vger

I added directory protection, but now SSL doesn't work correctly :( . Any ideas?
xine Posted January 27, 2006 Author Posted January 27, 2006 http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...earch,logged-in This add-on looks good, but... 1. The code works good with existing products but generates error when you create new product as it requires product_id which is not yet set for new product. How would I get it to recognize new products when I add them? Is there a better add-on than this one?
