TomCavendish Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 I used to have 3 different languages on my osc site. Pages from all 3 languages were picked up by search engines. But I now want the site to only be in English so removed the navigation flags to the languages. The problem is that people find the website from a page in Spanish and then can't change to the English language. How can I change it so that if someone lands on the site it defaults to English even if they have arrived on a page in a different language? It would be good even if I could detect the users language and make sure the people browsing in English get the english version. Any ideas?
Terra Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 You can uninstall the languages in your shop admin area under Configuration / Localization. Removing the flags doesn't do what you want as osCommerce automatically detects which language a browser is set to and defaults to that language if enabled in your admin area. all the best, edith My code for combining PayPal IPN with ** QTPro 4.25 ** osC Affiliate ** CCGV(trad) and how to solve the invoice already paid error General info: Allow customer to delete order comment ** FTP Programs & Text Editors ** Amending order email **
