Is the following possible with OS Commerce:

1. All products are visible for everybody when entering site.

2. To access the shop, the visitor should first login with his username/pw

3. Once logged in, the visitor can see prices and start shopping.

This shop is different from most shops in a way that if webmaster doesn't give you PW, you don't get access to the shop.

Not everybody is allowed to buy, only authorised buyers, for example resellers only, not endusers.

Thanks for any advise or tips.

you can block access to the site entirely by using htaccess or your webhosts control panel "password protect directory" (or something like that) link, or any number of scripts floating around out there that creates a log in page. But if someone has to be given a password to get to the site, why bother hiding the prices?

Thanks for your reply. This will probably be very helpfull.

To answer your question: without login, anybody can access the site. All information should be visible to anybody, except prices and shopping basket, which will be accessible to registered users only.

this module has been set up and works fine, thanks.

However, one thing should be added: the admin should be able to accept or reject the registration of a customer. It is not the idea that everybody can get access: only resellers are allowed access. So people who want to register have to prove that they are resellers.

It should work more or less like this: upon receiving a registration form from a customer, the admin should send the customer a password to get access. How can I do this?

Thanks, Waldman.
