oscommerce caching

i just noticed this in my page response codes for index.php:

 

Cache-Control: no-store, no-cache, must-revalidate, post-check=0, pre-check=0

Pragma: no-cache

and other oscommerce stores i checked, have it too.

 

 

i don't remember seeing this before, but why is it denying cache? in my meta tags i have caching enabled:

<META HTTP-EQUIV="Cache-Control" content="cache">

<META HTTP-EQUIV="Expires" content="0">
