Creating the box with specific products

so,

 

i've added some new field into my database that will describe my products. one field is about to describe "the rare products" so it will describe only rare products.

i need to make box similiar to the "specials box" or similiar to "new products for january..." that will show (on index.php) only products that has value "rare" in my new database field.

is there any contribution or something that can help with my problem,

please, any help will be appreciate, thanx!
