CurioPete Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 I just moved my catalog up one level (root). I followed instructions, did the configure.php changes and the admin/configure.php changes. It moved quite easily, the product, categories, info boxes, header, footer, shopping cart are working nicely. But when I checked the Login, Checkout, Myaccount, and Create account they produce dead links. CurioPete.com Would anyone know where I messed up? Thanx in advance, Pete
♥Vger Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 You have more problems than that. If I go to http://curiopete.com I get your website, but if I type in http://www.curiopete.com then I get the MSN Error page saying that the domain doesn't exist. Your web host has a very old system (I've seen it before with other sites) where their control panel does not automatically set up your domain for http://www. and http:// They will probably have to set up the www address as an alias of the http:// address. The reason you have problems with ssl is that you have your configure.php files set up for a full ssl cert when you only have a shared ssl cert, made out to secure9.hostgator.com Vger

I fixed the ssl prob, as you suggested, and am on my way to write a trouble-ticket to my host. ...in case you didn't hear me the first time: "You rock"
CurioPete Posted January 25, 2006 Author Posted January 25, 2006 You're welcome. Vger Hmmmm...I was about to send a trouble ticket and decided to check http://curiopete.com and it appears that the ssl fix must have fixed that, too. Is it srtill a prob on your end? Thanx, Pete
♥Vger Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Yes, can confirm, http://www.curiopete.com is now working too. Vger
CurioPete Posted January 26, 2006 Author Posted January 26, 2006 Everything was working fine, but.... I was about to add to my catalog, but I just discovered that, although I am able to log into my admin panel, when I try and use configuration, catalog, or any of the functions from the panel, I get "page not found" pages. Boyoboyoboy, I must have really messed this up.
