janice171 Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 hi, have installed protx form module and have carried out a test which was fine. do i need to get a kit from protx to make the pages integrate to my design? the test transactions went to protx styled pages and i really wanted the customer to feel they were'nt leaving my website to make the payments. thanks
meandrew Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 hi, have installed protx form module and have carried out a test which was fine. do i need to get a kit from protx to make the pages integrate to my design? the test transactions went to protx styled pages and i really wanted the customer to feel they were'nt leaving my website to make the payments. thanks ask protx this is not oscommerce, the problem is when your custoimer leave your site to go to protx I have the same and I think the only way to do this is to have a big message 'you are about to fgo to protx to make payment' and then have your logo on the protx page! The whole payment process has been criticised by 50% of my customers Andrew
janice171 Posted January 25, 2006 Author Posted January 25, 2006 thanks for your reply. i've just spoken to protx and they're going to send me details of how to change the look. i have to say though that i'm not at all impressed by the look of their pages and i may have to go the ssl certificate route and opt for vsp direct. cheers janice
willhoward13 Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Guys, I am about to go down the Protx line for my site, as they are probably the most reliable and the cheapest PSP. With my host I have an SSL. Does this mean I have other options on the purchase. I would love to have my own design on the payment pages (as you both know it makes a huge difference to your customers). I would love to hear your views. Will
janice171 Posted January 25, 2006 Author Posted January 25, 2006 Hi, if you have an ssl certificate and a private ip then you can go the Protx VSP Direct route and have the pages integrated into your own sites pages as opppose to Protx VSP Form. If you are on shared ssl then your customers are directed outside of your site to the protx payment pages which have limited modification options...but they're ok. Vsp Direct is definitely the way to go i reckon...just got the initial pay out for IP and SSL and the styling of pages.
willhoward13 Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 I have found out that I cannot use VSP Direct (as 1&1 don't support it with their SSL) but VSP Server. However it doesnt seem all bad? I think I can personalise it to an extent and that should be ok. Any comments?
symbolism Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 personally, I think protx direct is the better option if available, simply because of the site intergration as customers never leave your site on purchase, The other disadvantage is that the protx form module does not seem to collect and store the varable passed back for protx like the authorisiation codes potx form also can get confusing for the customer if they start clicking around with the back browser button, once on the protx site and the cancel button dumps the customer back at your sites index page with out any error messages reghards Chris
janice171 Posted February 9, 2006 Author Posted February 9, 2006 hi, just wondered if anyone who posted on this site with knowledge of protx know how to change the succes and failure urls??? protx say it's somewhere in one of the oscommerce pages code...but i don't know which one. thanks for any help

I'm on the professional hosting package that has a dedicated SSL cert. No prblems so far!
