bigstu22 Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Hi all. I'm going live soon and need some payment-taking vehicle. Merchant account will be sorted soon. Which gateway should I use. Protx look very good price wise but I understand they are quite unreliable. Apparently at Christmas they were awful. I can't find much info post christmas though. I can't go with worldpay as they rejected my application :( What are your experiences with protx and similar such as secpay, esecure etc?
ASDCO Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Theres not a merchant out there that can compete with PayPal. Cheap, easy to install,charge-back protection, known world-wide,no monthly fees, how can you beat that?
bigstu22 Posted January 25, 2006 Author Posted January 25, 2006 Thanks, Tom. Yep, paypal look good. I think I'll use them but still have another gateway too. Anybody else got recommendations?
willhoward13 Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Is Paypal really a good option? With most of the others you get to personalise the payment page, can you do that with Paypal? Also, dont you have to be registered with Paypal to use it? With the others you can just enter you card details. What are peoples thoughts? W
bigstu22 Posted January 25, 2006 Author Posted January 25, 2006 Paypal's site says you no longer need to sign up to make a payment. Apparently, if you're on an integrated site, you just enter your card details and Bob's your uncle. You can opt to sign up if you want
