mouschi Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 My client from Florida wants to have his products calculate different tax values based on county. Has anyone run into this before? Example: County 1 might have a sales tax of 6.5%, whereas County 2 might be 7.5% - what have you all done to address this?
AlanR Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 In reality no one collects Sales Taxes on a per county basis. There's not even a way to report taxes on a per county basis. Bureaucracy meets reality. Local: Mac OS X 10.5.8 - Apache 2.2/php 5.3.0/MySQL 5.4.10 • Web Servers: Linux Tools: BBEdit, Coda, Versions (Subversion), Sequel Pro (db management)
laurelsstitchery Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 You might want to ignore the advice below since it's completely incorrect and use this contribution: Florida Tax Contribution In reality no one collects Sales Taxes on a per county basis.
