Can we add more details for customers?

Hi,

 

I'm newbie at osCommerce and before investing times and money in it I was wondering if it was possible to add more details to the Customer Details section.

 

I'm planning to set a tailored dress shirts eStore but I would need to have my customers to provide there measurements (chest, hips, colar, etc) and I would like to keep it in database so avoiding to repeat this exercise for every order.

To avoid repitition, and to keep things as simple as possible, I'd recommend doing it via the Create Account Page. You'd need to add some new fields to that page, and then add them to the 'customers' table in your database. There are also other files which you have to add these fields to - and to find out that list of files which you'd have to edit I'd recommend that you download my Custom Create Account Page contribution (which is concerned with removing and not adding fields) because it will show you which files need to be edited.
