"shop by brand"

I would like to have a lists of brands, just like you have a list of categories.

Not a dropdown with manufactorers, but a list like you can see on this template:

I found out that a setting in the admin makes it look like a list, but still without the same lay-out (colors/fonts etc.) as the categories.

This is just a template, using the Manufacturers Drop Down box feature. All you have to do is to restyle the box and rename it Shop By Brand - which you do in includes/languages/english.php

Is there a real Shop By Brand add on that works? Yes, manufacturers can be changed to brands, but some manufacturers have more than one brand or product line.
