Problems with checking out/creating accounts

I posted this on the release thread, but am posting it over here as well in the hopes that it will get more views.

I've just done a total fresh install of the latest milestone release, added the EasyPopulater 2.78 and PayPal WPP addons, corrected a problem with sessions by storing them in mysql, and now have this problem: when I try to create an account, log in, or check out, I'm getting page cannot be displayed errors.

Do I need to do something with the .htaccess file since I'm running on Apache?

You can see the store at http://www.midwestbarbell.com/catalog/

Click on create an account, or add a product to the cart, then try to checkout, and you'll see what I mean.

Nope, so that would explain it.

You can't run oscommerce without an SSL certificate anymore?

Oh Good Lord - nevermind, I'm an idiot.

I just realized I checked the SSL box when I did the install.

Sorry for the waste of time.
