rock_lobster Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Hi, This may well be an obvious question (and i may have the technical side slightly mixed up), but I have to ask - when it comes to enabling encryption in the Paypal IPN module and supplying a private key/public certificate etc, if you are using a shared ssl (as I am at the mo on unitedhosting) then is it a) necessary for me enable encryption on shared ssl B) if it is, do I have to resort to generating a self-signed certificate in SSH from the shared ssl (and if that is the case, will this lead to warning about certificates coming from an untrusted source when processing through Paypal?) or do I ask unitedhosting to supply me with the information I need viz the certificates? [i'll post this on unitedforums as well in case there should be an answer there]. Or do I say blow this for a game of soldiers and purchase my own ssl certificate? (Which I'd rather not do right now.....) Quote
