Guest Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 I am setting up a wholesale store and would also like to dropship products for my wholesale customers. This is what I would like to do: 1. Wholesale customers be able to login and buy a product, select the purchase as a dropship, add the dropship address. Regular non dropship orders would stay the same, regular osc check out. 2. If order is selected as a dropship, have the invoice include the wholesale customer's company name and address. Is there a contribution that can support this? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
moonlitsun Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Naturally, you would want to initially restrict/define the customer account type via admin. You could theoretically model this based on the contribution called SPPC (Special Price Per Customer), which supports multiple customer types/groups. One would be retail, the other "dropship". At this stage, you would need to modify the invoice.php to reflect an IF statement based on the type of customer placing the order. We arent aware of a contribution that does this at the moment, but you could certainly use the SPPC contribution as your customer group structure for admin-related purposes while enabling the ability to price the two types separately.
