One product two order paths.

I have searched for a contribution and also looked in the base code. But I don't see away to do what I am asking now.

I have one product that can be purchased two ways. One way takes more items out of inventory than the other. I how ever want to show the correct inventory count for both "products"

 

Example with numbers.

 

order item 1 (oi1) costs $20

order item 2 (oi2) costs $30

 

Total units to sell 150

oi1 counts as one (1) unit sold.

oi2 counts as one and one half (1.5) unit sold.

 

Under both oi1 and oi2 I want the inventory to register as to number left if that entire order item was purchased. So oi1 would register 150 and oi2 would show 100.

 

I hope this is understandable. More importantly I hope there is already a contribution out there.
