baalwww Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 I really HAVE been trying to handle this via the documentation. It would seem possible, except that the screenshot for tax zones in the documentation do not resemble what I see, and imply functionality that I dont have. I need to charge sales tax within Georgia based on county of the customer. I guess in lieu of a contribution that goes by county instead of zip, the best way to handle this is to take Georgia and create tax zones for each county. The problem SEEMS to be that I cannot add tax zones within Georgia, it being a zone within the U.S.
Jack_mcs Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 There's nothing like that that I am aware of. You could edit the module to check for the county and charge accordingly. But the problem is the number involved (that's why there is not a zip code shipping module). Counties wouldn't be as bad but there are 83 in my State and I would hate to have to enter them all in, not to mention the various rates for each one. Is there a server that you can connect and automatically retrieve updated info for tax rates per county in US? I mean adding the tables perhaps is the easy part. Maintain them is my question (for every state). TIA
