Guest Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 Do you have a Hosting Provider? Do they supply a control panel? One of the feature in your hosting provider is called "directory protection" or something close to it You can password protect your admin with that feature The_Bear

♥Vger Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 Read the advice that The Bear gave. You should have access to a Password or Directory Protection feature in your web hosting control panel (not osCommerce control panel). This will write the data into the .htaccess, .htpasswd and .htgroup files for you. Vger

♥Vger Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 If this is a local install then you don't need to password protect your admin folder - provided you have either a hardware or software firewall installed on your computer - and if you don't have either one or both of those then you shouldn't have a server installed on your computer. Guest Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 I password protected my admin folder through my hosting provider control panel, but it still just lets me in. What should I do?
