Problems with files for download....

Okay I have some files that I need available for download. I've been through every step, read the downloads setup instructions a hundred times over.

I have the files for download (ie. agony.zip) in the catalog/download folder.

I have the filename (in product attributes) for that file listed as agony.zip

I disabled the download by redirect...

The window to download after purchase pops up like it is about to download the file, and then times out and says : "Internet Explorer cannot download .....blah blah blah string of characters.....

Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later."

It seems to me like this has to be a problem with the paths/filenames somewhere, but I can't seem to find where.....

Someone please help. I'm going to be up all nite working on this, it has to be done by morning.

If someone can help, I'm on AIM and YAHOO both as tru2mee2002 .... and they'll be saving me from being bald by morning!

Thanks a million... I hope.

This is a bug with IE trying to download over an https connection. I think this is the fix (not totally 100% sure). In catalog/download.php, around line 82, look for this:

header("Pragma: no-cache");

and change it to this:

header("Pragma: ");

Apparently this IE problem is quite the troublesome little monster. There is a good post and fix here in this topic Post 31123

Seems that maybe the good people who release OSC could do worse than take some time to look at this issue ??!!
