Ononomos Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 Hello! I was wondering if there was a way to have users choose the language on the site. I installed the Japanese Language pack, but now I need to know if there is an easy way to have customers switch their language, like how Mambo uses mambel fish. Any help would be great...
GraphicsGuy Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 The default setup of osCommerce includes the "Languages" infobox that allows them to choose their language from among the installed languages for the store. If you want it to be more prominent, you can move it higher in the column by moving the code calling the languages infobox in column_right.php. You can see it in action in many of the live shops or in the demo store. hth Rule #1: Without exception, backup your database and files before making any changes to your files or database. Rule #2: Make sure there are no exceptions to Rule #1.
Ononomos Posted January 25, 2006 Author Posted January 25, 2006 Thank you! Left hand, programmer who installed moscommerce, didn't know what the right hand, front end guy, was doing. Now I'm trying to get the Japanese to display right. In Unicode it doesn't work, but in Japanese (EUC-JP) it does display right. THe proplem is I need it to work with unicode..... any ideas?
