Guest Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 This is my first time building an osCommerce store. I purchased an osCommerce template located at www.BigLeagueStore.com. This template was originally for an electronic store but I am converting it into a baseball product store. I added the new categories okay; I also added the products inside the category and their descriptions okay; but when I try to add the new product images, the images do not update. I noticed the following error message at the top of my admin panel: Error: Catalog images directory is not writeable: /usr/local/pem/vhosts/15642/webspace/httpdocs/catalog/images/ From my admin panel, when I click On-line Catalog, I get an ?Error occurred: 403 - no permission? page. So I logged into my osCommerce store via FTP, and noticed there was not a catalog/images/ folder. So I created a catalog folder, and then an images folder, an uploaded a new product image. It worked, however, their was a slight problem. The product images do not appear when I call them a new name (example: baseball_glove.jpeg), but they do appear when I overwrite an image that was already part of the original electronic template (example: 23682908[1].jpep). And for those products without an old image, it tells me the ?IMAGE DOES NOT EXIST? when i try to upload a new one. Does any of this gibberish sound familiar to anyone? Please help? The guy who set up my databse inside of the control panel of my hosting account pointed the catalog files to the old On-Line Catalog instead of the new template On-Line Catalog. Problem is, i don't know how to pointed it to the correct one. Is this an easy fix? This is my first time building an osCommerce store. ozcsys Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 If you need to change where osC is looking for files you will need to edit your two configure.php files includes/configure.php admin/includes/configure.php so they are looking in the correct place The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
