♥Vger Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Go to your web hosting control panel and use the Password or Directory Protection feature to Password Protect your osC admin folder. This will replace any existing protection. While you are in your web hosting control panel, also change the password for that - if you gave it out to this other person. Vger
callan Posted January 20, 2006 Author Posted January 20, 2006 vger my freind thank you should have thought of that was thinking it was in the shop admin panel thanks mate will correct this now cheers
socorrismo Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 I had a problem too. I was checking the admin panel of my site. I had it set up to split cc numbers. To my horror, I discovered a second email address for the other half of the cc to be sent to. The email address was [email protected]. I googled the name, and it appears to be another South African Internet crook. The admin portion of osCommerce was password protected in the web hosting control panel. How did this happen? How can I lock him and others like him out of the admin panel? I've changed the password, but that's only temporary. HELP! Thanks
