CARFAN Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 I downloaded osc through Fantastico. All I get is a sample cart and don't know what to do with it. I checked out the post installation instructions. but don't know where to find catalog/install folder to rename or delete. Do I have to follow the instructions for post installation in order to set up the cart? Please Help! thanks

Please Help! thanks You go in your admin and then remove the test products, add your own, pick your shipping and payment modules and change the main page text and you are a live store. The fantastico install may not have a install folder so if it is not there do not worry about it. Just do everything else. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??

ozcsys Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Thanks, I still don't know how to change the text. How do I do that??? If you read the text #2 tells you what file to edit. I would however not use the online editor in the admin section. You really need to edit your files locally and then ftp them to your server. You can also find some info on editing your language files HERE I would really spend some time with the knowledge base, you will find it time well spent The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing.
