Guest Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Hi, HELP, I'm a newbie and a possible convert to OSC if this can be achieved. I have zencart setup and configured for a client. This installation is in Zencart, and the problem i'm having is to do with shipping. Zencart forum does not give much guidence and any question posted do not get much feedback. The problem is the the client supplies various type of empty cases each of different weight depending upon size. The weight can then again increase based on any options the buyer wants like foam inserts, document wallets, partions etc.. Carriers charge by weight and zone, and the client can choose diffent carriers depending on shiping/delivery cost. How would osc be setup to handle this senario. Any help must take into consideration this weight change, distance it has to be delivered - UK, Europe, Asia, etc.. and carrier cost. Is it possible to have a shipping matrix of different carriers with cost.? If OSC can handle this or can be setup then, how easy is it to convert the underlying database structure to osc. How easy is it to customise and setup templates forOSC.? Any help with this would be appriciated.
Guest Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Hi, Any Replys, I need help immediately. THe clients wants to go live end of Feb 2006.
Guest Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 There are several contributions that should be able to handle the weight/shipper variances. I perfer osC over Zen on the layout/template changes. But that's just my opinion, others probably differ. I have no idea on the database conversion but I'm sure someone here will be able to tell you.

At least i know its possible. One step closer to moveing to OSC.
