sania Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 how to protect you admin folder ...with htaccess and htpassword ..and i am using the SSL connection ...when i m using the htaccess and htpassword it shows me new window at admin but i am nt able to login into with that htpass which is encrypted ,,,,now my admin section goes to like that http://www.abcd.com/admin and i easily able to login but i dont want like that .....i want ot use with username and password so nobody can use it except me ....please help me ..i used contribution but it dint work ....

The easiest way is to go into your hosting control panel and use the password protect directories funtion if available ( and most have it) if not you can see a short course on protecting your admin HERE If that is not enough info do a google search on .htaccess and you should find all the info you need. Google is indeed your friend.
