catscreations Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Ok, I've got a store up and running and just realizing now I think I missing tons of stuff! I noticed that I do not have a "Statistics" page. It shows on my main admin panel, but is not a clickable link. This is stopping me from checking my stock levels (unless I browse all the products individually). So I started browsing the Knowledge Base, and noticed that all the print screens of examples do not look ANYTHING like my admin panel. I do not have the little wrench icons, and it's totally layed out differently. And again, don't have the "Statistics" option under tools. And...when I run out of stock, and product goes down to quantity "0", it no longer shows up in my store, and just "disapears" as if it was never listed there. I have to go back into my admin, find that product, add a quantity then mark it out of stock. Then it shows up, but still does not say "out of stock" until someone tries to add it to their cart. When a product is sold out, I want it to remain in the store as a viewable item, but with "sold out" beside it (I have it configured in the Stock section to say "sold out") , but instead it just disapears and I don't want that. I'm I missing some sort of huge download or something? I'm using version 2.2-MS2

catscreations Posted January 19, 2006 Author Posted January 19, 2006 Thanks for letting me know about this contribution (I just thought this was something that would have been automatically a part of the program)...anyway, I've installed it and it's ok, except for the part that products still get marked as "out of stock" which removes them from the store's display. I can go back in and manually put it "in stock" with quantity of 0, (then with the contribution is shows property as out of stock) but this is a pain. Is there any way to get items that have a qty of 0 to stay "in stock" and not automatically revert to "out of stock" in the product summary?
ozEworks Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 I think you need to look at your stock control settings. If you are counting stock and the qty = 0 then it is out of stock. If you let people buy things that are out of stock then they will still be displayed in the store.
