What do you mean be referral system? There is an Affiliate Program contribution.

This is a fine system for adding points for a customer who refers others...

 

The problem is if you want to give ongoing points. ie, if I refer someone who purchases $3,000, I may want to give extra to the person who referred them. Sort of a way of having ongoing promotion by the referrers, rather than just giving them something for signing people up.

downloaded the mod today but only problem is that my friends shop has been modded a lot and the only insalation is via a patch? dont suppose the author or anyone else has a step by step insalation guide? that would be great as im not sure the patch system will work (never used patch system before)

 

any help would be great

If you want to use the contrib and there are no instructions then you will have to do a diff on the files, get something like "Files Comparer", free and does a pretty decent job of showing you differences.
