IDEAS4 Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 One of my clients sells bulk products by the dozen that get cheaper the more you buy. For example: 1 dozen: $60/dozen 2 Dozen : $57/dozen etc through 12 dozen @ $48/dozen It looks like I have to do a ton of math to calculate the "plus factor," the difference in cost between the total price of 2 dozen and subtract the difference in the first dozen. For example, If a customer wants to buy 2 dozen, here is the math I have to do: 2 doz @ $57/doz - $114 - minus the cost for the first dozen (calculated automatically), $60 = "+ $54." When I create a product attribute called "2 Dozen" - I have to give it a value of +$54, rather than an actual price of $114. So I have to set up a "plus factor" for 11 dozen. On top of that, if the customer gets confused and puts a quantity of "2" on the checkout page, they have actually ordered 4 - Arggggg. Any way to configure a pricing selection based on units and pricing? Art ================================================ Arthur Fyvolent
