Authorizenet change?? Getting Fatal error on something about curl

Hi all, I have been using authorize 1.7 for a long time and suddenly it is not processing cards any more. After clicking on confirm order it goes to a page that says;

"Fatal error: Call to undefined function: curl_init() in /home/prospect/public_html/catalog/includes/modules/authorizenet_direct.php on line 150"

 

Seems to be a problem with the curl, I am running another site with same program and curl settings and it will process fine, anyone have any ideas what might be wrong, I am desperate, not taking orders for over 2 weeks now and I cant figure it out.
