L146705 Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 Hi, My website henwed.com in on google and it has been cached but only the first page, index.php: http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&lr=&q...:www.henwed.com Anyone know how I can get Google cache more of the site? Msn has cached the website. Yahoo partly has. I have some contributions such as the Header Tags Controller installed. I am using cookies instead of session urls, as I heard Google doesn?t like sessions. I also have prevent spider sessions set to true. Please help as this is really getting to me. Regards, Adam
Guest Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 I have the exact same problem, I mean exact down to the partial index by Yahoo and the much greater index by MSN. Google has come 20 times and only indexed the robots.txt file and the index page every time. What I have done and it has not worked yet is to install the Google XML sitemap contribution by chemo. I installed it this morning and Google came many times since but still only indexed the same pages. However they did come many more times than normal, so maybe soon it will index beyond the home page. Many people report amazing results with this contribution, and it makes sense that it would have a large impact. We'll see I am still waiting and will report back. Mike

Mike Thanks Mike, I was looking at google sitemaps yesterday, wondering how to generate them. Now I know. I have installed the contribution, it is very easy to install. I will let you know if it works.
Guest Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 UPDATE: Google has arrived! 3 days after installing my XML sitemap Google has started indexing my product pages. They have done about 10 links so far which is great because that means it has started. They visited those 10 links today in 2 separate visits. The sitemap MUST be the factor that caused this to happen. At this point I would have to heavily reccomend the Google XML Sitemap contribution. Interestingly, none of these new links show up on Google yet. But as it seems with all things Google, patience is the key (asnd the sitemap doesn't hurt) Mike

I dont know if this is down to the sitemaps or changing from cookies to sessions, or it could be a combination of the two.
Guest Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 If all your page's Meta data ( key, descriptions) are same, Goolge will only show 1 page. If you want all your pages shown on Goolge. Try to install other Mod(e.g dynamic meta tag), You can search many Meta Mod
