Max Mini Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 We needed to change the manufactures menu but we can't find any place to do it at? Could someone please point us in the right direction?
Guest Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 I want to get rid of the manufacturers section completely. Maybe someone can help both of us with this section! :o
Guest Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Well SWEET, I answered my own question! If you delete all of the default mfg's that come in the program - so that there are NONE left, the mfg section disappears altogether from your store front page! YEY!
Max Mini Posted February 1, 2006 Author Posted February 1, 2006 There is little to no help on this forum. We're switching to Zen cart. It's much easier to set up and use, has more features and comes with most contributions already built in.
Guest Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 you have little to no help on this forum if you aren't specific enough or nobody knows the answer (at the time you posted) :) some of the BEST things i've learned through using oscommerce, have occured at fault of nobody answering my question the first time around... it forced me to dig deeper than i normally would have :) but of course, if you're lazy and prefer something already laid out on a plate.... a different software would be more your speed.
Max Mini Posted February 1, 2006 Author Posted February 1, 2006 I'm sure it's a habit that you assume that every question here was not 'specific'. They were specific. It's not just our questions that we're refering to either, but countless others on this forum. Out of every question we ever asked here only one or two was ever answered or replied to. Call it what you will but that's not a very good ratio for getting help, and we don't plan on taking a year to do a months worth of cart setting up. If you have lots of free time (and I do mean lots of it) on your hands to waste, then by all means stick with your osC. No ones asking anything of you (anymore). Also, until you've actually installed and used Zen - calling it a 'lazy' persons cart is just plain ignorant on your part. Zen's documented so much better. That's not for someone who is lazy, that's for someone who doesn't want to decipher broken English and/or poorly documented software like osC. In our opinion Zen is also laid out better which also has nothing to do with 'laziness'. Also, why would anyone want to waste their time installing and configuring contributions (hacks) when Zen already has many of the same ones built in? That's also not laziness but just good common sense  Like I said, you enjoy your osC, We'll certainly enjoy our Zen :-" To each his own ;)
