HI, I WOULD LIKE TO CREATE A CATEGORY CALLED WHOLESALE AND HAVE IT AVAILABLE TO THOSE WHO HAVE A USERNAME AND PASSOWRD SUPPLIED BY ME. IS THERE ANYWAY I CAN CREATE THIS WITHIN THE SHOPPING CART..MEANING WHEN THE CUSTOMER CLICKS ON WHOLESALE HE IS PROMPTED TO ENTER A USERNAME AND PASSWORD TO VIEW THE PRODUCTS ON THE PAGE. IT WOULD ONLY BE ONE USERNAME AND ONE PASSWORD THAT I WOULD DOLE OUT TO MY WHOLESALE CUSTOMERS. THANKS MOCHI

I would like to get some advice on doing this also. I'm using oscommerce as a photo gallery/ordering system and would like to password protect certain categories (ie albums) for customers...ie weddings, portraits, etc and leave others open for anyone (auto races, etc).

Any help would be awesome.

Your best bet would be some variation of Separate Price Per Customer.

Do you mean I can set up my customers so certain ones are charged a different price that only they can see either at the product page or checkout? how do i go about setting this up. what i am not interested in is a drop down menu choice that everyone can see. thanks for your help, let me know, moch

I guess mochi and I want two different results. I want to have the list of categories all visible in the left box, but I want a password to be required to view whichever categories I decide to set. If I don't set a password, I want it to be public. I don't want anyone to access the categories at all that I set a password to, without having a password.

For example, I don't want random people viewing or buying a client's wedding photos.
