dxlclothing Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 hi need some help, my site crashed, my own fault, but i got it working again, and i backed up using the backup feature on OSC but iv lost all my produts that were on and only got the catagories, is there anyway to get them back? thanks for ur help scott
dudacao Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 Hi dxlclothing ! That i know, osC internal backup routine makes backups of minor things, not products. The admin->tools->backup feature backups the whole database including products and everything. If the backup you are trying to restore does not contain your products then something went wrong already when you backuped your old database. It could already haven been corrupted. If you still have the backup in uncompressed format you should be able to view it in a text editor and see if you product definitions are there or not.
