Second Hand Sales

Hello

I was wondering if anyone had come across this - I sell second hand books, which means I have one of each item only. Most are unique as are in diferent condition, different age, price etc. So everything is QTY 1. So what should happen is that when a book is sold, it disappears from the listings and searches of the database by another buyer.

Naturally I could manualy update the database.... but can the package be adapted to automate this in some way?

Hi,

you can specify in the admin part stock handling ... you would want to deduct stock and not show items with shock <1. If you have tons of traffic, it may of course happen that somebady has an item in his cart while another person buys it. That is when the key allow checkout when not in stocks comes in. It will mark the item as no longer available and not allow checkout.

and to add to that -

if i crerate an account today at your store and add a book to my cart then log out, and you sell it and remove it from stock, then i log back in say 5 days later, its still in my cart and i can still buy it.

I just had this happen with a customer.
