Max Mini Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Two basic questions... First, where are the HTML templates for the cart main page kept? Also, when someone registers it asks for their address. All of our products are downloads. How (or where) do we remove those fields from the form?

The cart is in php, but inside that is a lot of html you can edit in any editor, including the new and easy to use Open Source "NVU" http://www.nvu.com/ . The layout is basically in CSS. What a lot of people seem to do is work from the basic osCommerce layout, build up their cart, then either modifying it here and there, as they go, or get a template and port it over to the new template. There are lots of sample shops you can look at for ideas...many done by real experts! Go take a look at http://www.oscommerce.com/shops/live ..where, as of today, there are a "Total: 7,382 live stores" worldwide with this software, which is pretty amazing! ...The thing to remember is ..."We are all learning!"
