I thought this could be done only because i saw a DOWNLOAD directory plus this default product here : http://cubo305.com/oscommerce/product_info...?products_id=22 If this could be done please someone out there let me know. I figured how they can pay and then have item shipped. Any advice would be much appreciated
signs Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Are your 2 attributes in the same dropdown menu? Or are the seperate menus? If they are on the same menu, the attributes are added according to the number assigned to that attribute. If you created the "CD" attribute before you created the "Download" attribute, then when they show up in the dropdown box CD will show first. One great way to override this is to install the contribution that allows you to assign an order to your attributes. I just did that a week ago and it's working perfectly. You can find that contrib here: sorting attributes It requires adding a field to your database, but the instructions are very easy to follow. Once installed, there will be a new field in your attributes screen that has a sort order for each attribute. Initially it will be set a "0". Leave Download set for "0" and then change CD to be "1" and that will automatically change the order of how they are displayed in the dropdown menu. If the choices on your product info screen are given in two seperate fields, then perhaps you need to get creative in choosing a name alphabetically for your options that would force the option you want to be first. For instance "As Download" would come before "CD" alphabetically. Hope that helps! Signs

We have online store. We will sale in two Scenarios. Scenario 1 - Customer pays with Pay Pal and then downloads the file then it is done. This is very easy and I have done this and it works well. My real problem is this: Scenario 2 - Customer can subscribe for a month to download updated daily news for every day (30 day subscription period) For this; customer should have Member Login or similar link in order to login to the specific folder or link with her login name and password in order to download daily news related file. (These files can b PDF or DOC etc) I can configure Oscommerce in product Attributes and crate two link for buy and subscribe. Buy now $3.95 Subscribe for month: $25.00 When customer clicks on Subscribe she will download first available file and download it. Then tomorrow and next day she should be able to login and be able to download new file. How do I do that? God bless you Thank you Errol [email protected]
