debsberk Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 I recently lost my 5 month old grand daughter to SIDS. I am trying to put together a website in memory of her. I need some help getting the price tag on the front page and also on each additional page that displays after the first page to erase and go away. The price of course shows as $ 00.00. I wish to not have anything to show. I am not very "skilled" in this so please use as little "computer language" as possible. If you would like to view what I have done so far be my guest.. http://www.papalovesmallory.com Thanks to anyone who can assist... I just want the site not to show prices. Sorry so winded.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your grand-daughter. osC isn't really the right platform for what you are trying to accomplish. You probably want to look at using a simple web page editor to create your pages and upload to your web site. Be well, Tina If you're not having fun you're not doing it right Teach a person to fish rather than give them a loaf of bread or however that saying goes.

tina_boots Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Thanks Tina but right now all I have is the ability to put together a site such as OSC from my control panel. I have no further experience or knowledge. Thanks I'll be completely honest with you, in hope to help you as a friend in this brief moment in time. Attempting to do what you are considering with osC is going to create much more difficulties than it would be to find a simple editor and create a simple web site. To modify osC you would have to do all of that anyway and end result would likely be less that what you are hoping for. Do a little research on beginning web site design, or pick yourself a book on the subject. Go that direction and you'll likely having a fitting tribute to grand-daughter which you can be proud of. Be well, Tina If you're not having fun you're not doing it right Teach a person to fish rather than give them a loaf of bread or however that saying goes.
debsberk Posted January 16, 2006 Author Posted January 16, 2006 Thank you Tina for your reply. I will Certainly consider it.
spottedhaggis Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Hi, I was recently asked to create an online ordering system. I have taken OSC and removed all prices from all pages and changed any ref to payments, buying etc to request etc. I have in fact turned an OSC shop into an online information request system, and during the checkout, no payment is asked for nor is a shipping value asked for. Is this the sort of thing you are interested in. PM me for a link as the site is still a work in progress, but 95% of it is done now. It was not an easy task, but I believe it works very well.
